Embrace Your Inner Nerd

Our story: In 1997, when I was in the 6th grade, the bell rang to go to the next class. As I arrived to my science class, I took time to acknowledge my surroundings. I looked to the left and saw the students that were known as "the nerds." I looked to my right and saw the students that were known as the "cool kids." I've been around both circles and noticed that many of these so called cool kids were not who they seem to be. Most of them just wanted to fit in. I knew the "nerdy" kids well. They were the students with the big bookbags and the biggest hearts. The nerds were unapologetically themselves. Since then, in that hallway, I thought to myself, "I rather hang out with the nerds." Shortened to Rather Hang With Nerds.
